When our youngest son was diagnosed with food allergies and intolerances, we had to completely reevaluate our approach to food. Our journey began with reading food labels and questioning the origin of what we were feeding our family. That's when we discovered that some breads contained as many as thirty ingredients simply to prolong shelf life-
something that truly shocked us.
In June 2023, I made the decision to master the art of baking bread. That summer, I created my own sourdough starter from scratch and began baking all of our bread at home. What started as a necessity quickly became a passion. Before long, I was baking not only for my family, but also for friends, neighbors, and family members who were eager to enjoy simple, wholesome bread made with intention.
The following year, I was accepted into two local farmers markets allowing me to grow what had once been a personal project into a small business. This is how Raising Sons bakery was born.
What began as a way to nourish my family has turned into a cherished bakery- one that allows me to work from home, serve my community, and most importantly, be present with my children.

Our goal is to bake bread that is truly nourishing - made without unnecessary additives and focused on giving our bodies exactly what they need: real nutrients.
We prioritize sourcing high-quality, organic or/and non gmo ingredients, starting with our base flour, which is always organic and unbleached. Our bread is naturally leavened using our sourdough starter, fermented slowly for better digestibility. We use filtered water and Redmond sea salt, a mineral-rich sea salt, to keep our bread simple, intentional, and full of flavor.
At its core, our bread is made with just three simple ingredients, time and love- food in its most natural form, just as it was meant to be.

Hi, my name is Elena and I'm a mother on a mission to feed my family nutritious, wholesome food- and to share it with my community as well. I am the hands behind every loaf at Raising Sons, and I am truly honored each time you choose my bread to bring into your home. I never take for granted the trust you place in my business or the support you show me week after week.
I am deeply grateful for what God has blessed me with: a loving family and the opportunity to work from home while being present with my children. I am also beyond thankful for my husband. Without his constant support, encouragement, and invaluable help behind the scenes, this bakery would not have been able to grow into what it is today.
